In Loving Memory of Vincenza McDonnell

Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and Friend

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Vincenza McDonnell, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many. Vincenza passed away surrounded by her loved ones, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and kindness that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Patrick McDonnell; her loving daughter, Denise McDonnell, and son-in-law, Marc Mairs; her daughter-in-law, Cheryl McDonnell; her treasured grandchildren, Kevin McDonnell, Brian McDonnell, and Brooklyn McCollum; her dear sister, Catherine Katz; and her brother, Paul Alagna. Vincenza is predeceased by her beloved son, Michael McDonnell, whose memory she carried with her always.

Vincenza was a kind-hearted, loving woman who had an extraordinary ability to connect with people. She could spark a conversation with anyone and light up a room with her warmth and friendliness. Family jokes often centered around her quick trips to the store that would turn into long conversations with neighbors and friends—she simply loved being around people.

She found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, like her regular visits to the senior club with friends, spirited games of bingo, and exciting trips to Atlantic City with her daughter and companions. Weekly, she and her daughter Denise shared special moments watching their favorite television shows together, building precious memories that will be forever cherished.

Vincenza’s greatest pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. She poured her heart into her family, and her love for her grandchildren knew no bounds—especially cherishing the moments when they would visit from Florida. Her family was her world, and she was theirs.

Despite enduring the heartbreaking loss of her son Michael on 9/11, Vincenza exemplified incredible resilience. Through her profound grief, she found the strength to carry on, offering her unwavering support and love to the family that needed her so dearly.

Vincenza’s legacy is one of love, strength, and an open heart. She leaves behind memories filled with laughter, long conversations, shared adventures, and unconditional love. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her so dearly
