Sandra Henderson, lovingly known to her family and friends as Sandy, was born on July 1, 1957, to James Henderson and Earthlee Freeman Henderson. She was the third youngest daughter in a close-knit family of nine children. Sandy shared a special bond with all of her siblings, but she held a deep and cherished love for her sisters.

Sandy was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 20, 2025, surrounded by her husband, daughter, and granddaughter.

Sandra lived life with vigor and danced to her own music. She was a woman of strong resolve whose love for the Lord was unwavering. Her faith remained steadfast and unmovable until her final days. An early riser, Sandy often began her mornings by sending scripture-filled text messages to loved ones or simple reminders to be safe—small acts that reflected her big heart and constant care for others.

Those who knew Sandy can each share a funny story, a meaningful moment, or a special memory that only they experienced with her. She was deeply loved by many and will always be remembered for her beautiful, giving heart.

Although Sandy did not know the day she would be called home, she lived prepared, confident in her faith, and assured that she would rest in eternal peace and joy. While her loved ones mourn her homegoing, Heaven and the angels rejoice as they welcome her into glory.

Sandy leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband of 31 years, Stanley Lawson; her daughter, Simone Torres (Omar); her four beloved grandchildren, Shakerria, Nina, Leah, and Christian; her sister, Gerri Neals (David); sister-in-law, May Lawrence; brother-in-law, Lonnie Brockington (Barbara); brother-in-law, Joseph Hale (Patricia); and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

She will be forever remembered, forever loved, and forever missed.
