Maggie Yu Chen

Maggie Yu Chen was born on February 7, 1983, in Fujian, China. From a young age, she was a dedicated and hardworking student who valued education, perseverance, and personal growth. In 2001, Maggie came to the United States with her family and began a new chapter of her life. As a young immigrant, she faced the challenges of adapting to a new language and culture. Through her determination, strength, and courage, she overcame every obstacle and graduated as the valedictorian of Lower East Side High School in 2003. Maggie continued to pursue her dreams through dedication and hard work. She graduated from the Nursing Program at Hunter College with outstanding academic achievement. In 2007, she married and began her nursing career at NYU Hospital in Brooklyn, where she devoted nearly 20 years of her life caring for others with compassion, professionalism, and kindness. In 2013, Maggie welcomed her beloved daughter, Audrey, and embraced the joy of motherhood. Maggie was a loving family member, a caring sister, a devoted mother, and a cherished friend and colleague. She was known for her gentle heart, strength, kindness, and the warmth she brought to everyone around her. She treasured the time spent with her family and created countless beautiful memories that will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her love, wisdom, and the memories she created will continue to inspire us. Although she is no longer physically with us, her kindness and the positive impact she made on the lives of others will always remain. Maggie will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
