In Loving Memory

Louis R. Parker a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, veteran, and friend, passed away, carrying the deep love of his family with him. His life was defined by service, laughter, generosity, and an unwavering dedication to the people he cared for.

He is survived by his beloved wife Theresa Parker; his children Shawn Parker and Keli Parker; his cherished grandchildren Briana, Reana, Brian, Lucas, and Gianna Parker; and his sisters Helen Parker Barraclough and Margaret Parker. He is also lovingly remembered by his future daughter‑in‑law Stephanie Marini, who compassionately assisted the family with his after‑death arrangements and supported them with strength, care, and devotion during their most difficult time.

A Life of Service and Honor

A proud patriot, he served his country and community with distinction. He became a Sergeant in the U.S. Army Fighting 69th, served in the National Guard, volunteered during the aftermath of 9/11, and continued protecting his community as an auxiliary officer for the NYPD. His dedication to service was one of his greatest accomplishments, and he carried that same sense of duty into every part of his life.

His commitment to helping others never ended—whether he was in uniform or simply being a neighbor, friend, or family member, he lived every day with purpose and pride.

Who He Was

He was someone who could make anyone laugh. The life of every party. A man who lit up the dance floor, who cracked jokes effortlessly, and who made people feel at ease the moment he walked into a room. His heart was enormous—he was always there for his family, always ready to help, always ready to give.

He was generous beyond measure. If you needed a dollar, he’d give you his last one. If you needed a smile, he’d give you a laugh that could brighten the darkest day. His presence made life lighter, warmer, and more joyful.

What We Loved Most About Him

We loved his humor, his warmth, his loyalty, and the way he made every gathering feel like a celebration. We loved his ability to turn ordinary moments into memories. We loved his fierce love for his family and the pride he carried for each of them.

He made people feel seen, valued, and loved—whether through a joke, a hug, or a simple moment of kindness.

Favorite Memories

Some of the most treasured memories are the simplest ones—playing video games together, running around the neighborhood playing manhunt, and all the games he played with the kids on the block. He gave his children and grandchildren a childhood filled with joy, silliness, and adventure.
