In Loving Memory of Janice Trama

July 21, 1945 – November 14, 2025

Janice Trama was a proud Brooklynite whose wit, warmth, and generous spirit lit up every room she entered. A talented professional, she served as a business manager at Cosmopolitan magazine, where her steady leadership and sharp sense of humor made her a trusted colleague and friend. Janice loved to “break people’s chops” in the most loving way, using humor to put others at ease and to bring people together. Family meant everything to her. Some of her happiest memories were the simple ones: walking down the block for pizza, gathering at the table, and laughing with loved ones for hours. If someone needed help, Janice would give the very shirt off her back. That is how she lived; open-handed, loyal, and full of heart.

Janice was predeceased by her mother Anita, father Joseph, and sister Joann. She is survived by many beloved cousins and an extended family of dear friends who became family over a lifetime in Brooklyn. Her legacy is one of love, loyalty, and laughter that will be cherished always.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22, from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m. at Miraglia Funeral Chapels, 8519 New Utrecht Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11214. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Finbar Catholic Church, 138 Bay 20th St, Brooklyn, NY 11214. Interment will take place afterward at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, Long Island. May her memory be a blessing.
