Hector “Willie” Luis Velazquez

December 1, 1959 - November 29, 2025

Hector “Willie” Luis Velazquez passed away peacefully on November 29, 2025, at the age of 65. A master craftsman by trade and “Mr. Fix-It” by reputation, Willie was a lifelong carpenter whose hands could raise a house from foundation to finish - plumbing, paint, and every detail in between. His talent was matched by a quick wit and a famously dry sense of humor that kept family and friends laughing, thinking, and feeling loved.

Willie was known for a tough exterior that guarded a deeply generous heart. He showed up with loyalty, laughter, and the kind of steady presence that made people feel safe. Creative by nature, he loved building, painting, music, and dancing - finding joy in making things and in making moments. Those who knew him best remember a devoted father who would do anything for his girls, including donning a mop “wig” and a tied T-shirt just to coax a teenage daughter through heartbreak with a smile. That was Willie: protective, playful, and always on your side.

He is survived by his daughters, Alexandra Velazquez and Charlene Rijos; and his grandchildren, Alyana, Khristian, Kayden, Levi, and Milo, who will carry forward his laughter, ingenuity, and grit.

Willie’s legacy is built into the lives he touched and the love he leaves behind: sturdy, heartfelt, and made to last. May he rest in peace.
