Gilbert Woodford

Gilbert Woodford, 40, passed away in a tragic accident in Clearfield County, Pennsylvania on October 9, 2026. Known affectionately by his family as Papo, he was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic on March 25th, 1986, to Clara E. Jaime Woodford and Gilbert B. Woodford. As a child, he had a mischievous spirit, loved to run and had a deep love for animals.

Gilbert dedicated 20 years of his life to the trucking industry. He had a headstrong personality and was determined to live life on his own terms. As a young adult, he would often amusedly refer to himself as a mule. He was a devoted and loyal husband to his wife, May Woodford, and a loving cat parent to Popcorn and Chili. He enjoyed travel, EDM concerts, good food, and delicious treats. He had a huge sweet tooth!

If you didn’t know Gilbert well, you might have thought he was quiet and reserved. But once you truly got to know him, you would see how funny, gentle, sweet, and caring he was. Once he got comfortable, he could talk nonstop and make you laugh for hours. He loved taking care of the people he loved and always made them feel special. He had such a kind heart and a beautiful soul.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clara E. Jaime Woodford and Gilbert B. Woodford. He leaves behind his beloved wife, May Woodford, his sisters Brenda Woodford-Febres and Gloria Wilson, his cousin Stephanie Jaime De Los Santos, with whom he shared a strong bond, his maternal aunts, uncles, cousins, and his cherished feline companions.

In accordance with his private life, there will be no formal services. In lieu of a gathering, the family requests you celebrate his memory in your own private way.
