In Loving Memory of Donna Matadobra
August 6, 1963 – September 6, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donna Matadobra, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, who departed this world on September 6, 2025, at the age of 62.
Donna was a woman of remarkable strength, endless humor, and boundless love. Known affectionately for her quick wit, her signature laugh, and her unforgettable sense of humor, Donna had a way of making everyone around her smile—even on their darkest days. She truly was one of a kind.
She was the devoted mother of Robert Brady and Melissa Brady, and cherished mother-in-law to Frank Connor. Her proudest role in life was being “Grandma” to her beloved grandsons, Thomas and Matthew Connor, whom she helped raise with endless love and wisdom.
Donna is also survived by her loving siblings: Steve Matadobra (and his wife Whitney), John Matadobra (and his wife Quyen), Danny Matadobra, and Stephanie Pappachristos (and her husband Chris). She was a beloved sister-in-law to Robert Dimperio, JoAnn Dimperio, Richie Dimperio, Bud Dimperio, and Debora Dimperio, and leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and extended family who adored her.
She was a great mom, a fantastic cook known especially for her legendary baked ziti, and the life of every party—especially when dressed as Elvira at neighborhood block parties or performing her unforgettable air drum solo to Phil Collins' “In the Air Tonight.”
Donna had a deep love for puzzles, painting statues, crocheting, and classic sitcoms—I Love Lucy being her favorite. She was also a huge fan of horror films and never missed a spooky movie night. Her creativity and humor shone brightly during holidays—once crafting her own hilariously festive ugly Christmas sweater complete with lights and garland.
She proudly graduated from beautician school and overcame life’s many challenges with dignity and courage. A two-time widow, cancer survivor, and warrior through addiction, Donna never let life’s difficulties steal her joy. Her strength was unmatched, and her presence made everyone feel like family.
We will miss her singing “Day-O” at the top of her lungs, quoting Eddie Murphy’s famous “Goonie-Goo-Goo”, and filling our lives with warmth, laughter, and love.
Donna's legacy lives on through the family she adored and the many lives she touched. Her spirit will remain with us always.
